My Life with Boys

Ethan - 6 years old, full of energy, fun and laughter but also a little neurotic with a tendancy to freak out at unexpected times. Comes home everyday covered in red dirt, bruises on his knees and a smile on his face. Especially funny are the days he hides in the bushes and barks like a dog to surprise people. Only boys think of these kinds of things to do. Er visits = 2, stitches = 9 (four in his forehead and 5 in his lip). Loves bugs, digging in the dirt, his big friend Brian who took him to ward camp, his flashlight under the covers, and all things boy.
David - 4 years old, full of mischief, jokes, and naughtiness but good-hearted and lovable. Can we all say principal's office? He's not in "real school" yet but he's been in trouble at preschool more times than I'd like him to be. In explaination for his unique behavior we just say, "you know how David is" because there is really no other answer for a boy who looks you straight in the face while he throws the ball over the fence or rips a page in a book, or breaks his elbow while rolling down the ramp that is for set up for walking up, or goes to school in his underwear and no shorts or goes to school with shorts and no underwear, or wiggles his front tooth until it comes out even though it should be there until at least age six. We often say, "It's David" and people that know him understand. But really to know him is to love him. He is like a big cuddlly teady bear who doesn't know his own strengthen and if angry will dig his toenails into your foot. So far 2 trips to the ER but I'm expecting many more.
Anthony - 2 years old, sweet, mellow, my angel who makes everything worthwhile. He never complains, hardly ever cries or grumbles. His laugh is infectious and his smile is so cute. He is just learning to fight back against David. So when he's pulling David's hair, it's so hard to scold him. On the rare occasion that he is scolded, he quickly stops what he's doing and cries silently. Have you ever seen a baby who cries cutely? That's Anthony. He's learning to talk often copies Sariah his constant playmate.
It's so fun to be their Mommy and share their lives. I can't wait for the next 16 years (that's how long it will be until Anthony graduates). They enrich my life, they bless me everyday. I am so lucky to be their Mommy and so very happy to have them as my sons.

You have the cutest boys ever! I fully enjoyed reading about them and the experiences that they give you. Motherhood is wonderful even with all the drama that comes with it. What would life be without our kids?
