Question

Why are we here. . .
IF not to wish on stars
build sandcastles
dream dreams
AND
let others know we care about them.

There Are No Words

There are times in life when words can't accurately express feeling. I've lost many people in my life but this one hurts the most because it was Kawika so that means Kepa hurts the most and Kaleo hurts the most and Mom hurts the most with this one. Since Kepa doesn't read this I can be open with the pain of seeing them hurt. They love him so much. He is Kepa's baby brother and it's a hard thing to have to make peace with. Fake smiles and sleepless nights, tossing and turning, worries. . . we just want Kawika. I know Families are Forever but we have to get to the forever part and the inbetween time hurts.

Why I Love Those Ing Boys

I love this picture of the 3 Brothers taken at Anthony's party. Ethan and David always say, "3 boys, there are 3 boys." And I think to myself, "3 boys, what am I doing with 3 boys. I don't know what boys need or even their very strange boy ways." But I can truly say I am indeed very lucky and blessed to have brothers for my boys. What a special bond they share. Kepa, Kawika, and Kaleo are the original 3 Ing Brothers and now my boys carry that bond too. We lost Kawika on 10/23/08 and we are all heartbroken. Words cannot express the loss we feel or the void that has been created in our hearts and lives. A quote that lives in Kanani's empty room. Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. Let's all have more of those moments in our busy lives. So now why I love those Ing Boys: They are so good looking. Those beautiful eye lashes. Their sweet, loving, gentle way. The love and respect they each have for their mother. Have you ever seen them with a little baby? You'd be in love in a heartbeat too.
Now let's all hug and kiss those we love, those we like, and those we need to forgive.

Who knew the love of my life would be a small, bald, fat, drooling man

It's amazing what a little request from your (at the time) 13 year old daughter can lead to. A love affair with 3 very different little guys. "I think I want a brother or sister." It wasn't even a pushy, I want it now request. It was really more of a thought. But it was something that seemed so right, so meant to be. That one simple "I think" turned into Ethan and of course Ethan needed David and now there is the little, fat, bald, man I'm so in love with. . . Anthony. Before these three little guys came into my life, I had only loved two men in my 31 years. . . my daddy and my sweetheart. Being together since we were 15 has been frustating, challenging, rewarding, thrilling, and so totally unbelievable. When I turned 30, it blew my mind that I had know him for half of my life. This year we celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. I don't think anyone would have believed we would still be together after one year and here we are going on 20, who knew?

Trial

This is a trial post to see how things go. I'm not to much into stuff like this. . .not enough time but I'm convinced this will keep us in touch with family and friends, especially those far away.

My Loves in No Particular Order

  • Sand beneath my feet
  • Kanani-Girl dancing
  • Snow Angels on the Farm
  • Family, Friends, & Fun
  • My sweetie playing with the little ones
  • That baby smell (not the bad one)
  • The Boys laughing uncontrollably
  • The warm sun on a cold winter day
